About Campaign

When her husband passed away, Mdm Aqilah (not her real name) worked as a cleaner to support her two children. She had to move out of her home and rent a room while paying for her daughter's expensive school fees. Her MP helped her to obtain a rental flat and referred her to New Life Community Services.

New Life not only provided financial assistance for her daughter's school fees, but gave academic support to both her children so that they might secure a better future through education. Her daughter is on our online volunteer tuition support programme, while her youngest child attends Steady Readers to improve his English. Because of our support, Mdm Aqilah was very motivated to work hard and increase her monthly salary.

There are many others like Mdm Aqilah out there who need someone to go the extra mile for them. Hence, New Life Charity Cycle aims to raise funds to serve disadvantaged children, youths, families and seniors in the community. In 2021, we mentored 836 children and 237 youths, befriended 41 seniors, and financially assisted 69 families, thanks to the generous support of donors, sponsors and fundraisers like yourselves. Through the work that we do, we want to give people like Mdm Aqilah and her family not just provision for today's needs, but hope for a better future.

About the Charity

New Life Community Services is a social service agency committed to serve children, youth and senior citizens in the community regardless of race and religion. We are an IPC and a member of the National Council of Social Services.

We operate three childcare centres, three student care centres and two youth hubs with an emphasis on imparting life skills and character values to the next generation. We conduct literacy and character mentoring programmes for disadvantaged children, as well as after-school engagement programmes for youths. We also run active ageing programmes to support the needs of the elderly, an often isolated and marginalised group in society.

We also believe in improving the situations of marginalised families with schooling children so that the latter will be adequately supported as they grow up. To that end, we provide families with financial assistance, casework management and counselling to address financial and social issues.

In 2022, we nurtured 923 children, mentored 325 youths, enabled 185 seniors, and financially assisted 408 individuals and families, thanks to the generous support of donors, sponsors and fundraisers like yourselves.
