About Campaign

Five years ago, I was feeling perfectly healthy as I walked into a doctor's office to check out what felt like a barely perceptible knot in my breast. I was relatively young, no family history of cancer and I'd been a vegetarian my whole life, I worked out etc, etc. I had no reason to think it could be cancer but it was. I had early stage breast cancer and needed aggressive treatment.

I was so lucky to have found such an amazing care team at the National Cancer Centre in Singapore. In the photo, I'm five years cancer-free and celebrating with my oncologist, Dr Rebecca Dent and surgeon Dr Veronique Tan. Around the time I got diagnosed, they had launched a new program to help young women like me get through the long months of treatment. Nurse Mabel was there for me - helping answer every question - from what to expect to details of treatment plans. I wouldn't be as well or as strong as I am today without this coordinated care. Every single day, the team at NCCS helps people with cancer live better lives and makes more survivors like me.

The centre needs funding for new programs and research; the money you donate will go towards life-saving programs like the one I was part of and fund care for patients who can't afford it.

About the Charity

Someone in Singapore is diagnosed with cancer every hour. For many, a cancer diagnosis is an emotional and difficult time. The NCCS Cancer Fund helps support cancer patients in need.

NCCS helps over 26,000 cancer patients each year.

From the moment they are diagnosed and throughout their treatment we are with them, providing the very best care, by the best people, in the best place.

Donate today and help us give hope to people with cancer.
