About Campaign

Stricken with cancer in Feb 2020, I understand the uncertainties and emotional turmoil a cancer patient goes through. The turbulent journey starts from the moment the doctor says "It's cancer, we will need to do more tests". Even after treatment, no matter how strong an individual is, the thought of "how long do I have left" still creeps in.

I have emerged stronger, treasure the time with closed ones and learned to live in the moment. I have even put my sign language skills to good use!

The deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing community have come together to pay tribute to cancer survivors/patients through our signed song - Hero.

We hope to help needy cancer patients and their school-going children solve "academic" challenges faced due to financial difficulties. Portable devices such as laptops and tablets allow students the flexibility to keep up with their schoolwork during treatments. During those long days in the hospital, they can access social media platforms and "digitally hang out" with their friends for emotional support too!

We want to raise $30,000 for the academic needs of needy families; purchase of school-approved electronic devices. Donations will go to NCCS Cancer Fund. I'm happy to add that your gift will be eligible for government matching grants, hence every dollar you donate goes the extra mile and doubles the impact!

Let's live the moment, "click donate!", put a smile on our faces and brighten up another cancer patient's life! #bethelightofhope

About the Charity

Someone in Singapore is diagnosed with cancer every hour. For many, a cancer diagnosis is an emotional and difficult time. The NCCS Cancer Fund (NCCSCF) helps support the fight against cancer by providing financial assistance for needy patients, ensuring sufficient funding for NCCS scientists and clinicians to continue their work in cancer research and promotes cancer education for healthcare professionals and the general public.

NCCS helps over 26,000 cancer patients each year. From the moment they are diagnosed and throughout their treatment we are with them, providing the very best care, by the best people, in the best place.

Donate today and help us give hope to people with cancer.

All donations received are managed by SingHealth Fund (SHF), an institution of Public Character (UEN 201624016E).
All donors are required to provide their Tax Reference number (e.g. NRIC/FIN/UEN where applicable) to enjoy tax deduction. The donation will be automatically included in the donor's IRAS tax assessment. As such, we will not be sending any official receipt, unless upon written request by the donor.

Please note that donations must be made before 15 December for processing and be included in time for tax assessment in the same year.
