About Campaign

The National Cancer Centre of Singapore (NCCS), Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Regent Singapore will partner once again to host Run for Hope. This will be the 24th time this run is being organized and we would like to invite you and your family to join us at Run for Hope 2017. The purpose of this event is to create more awareness for cancer and cancer research while raising much needed funds for the important research work at NCCS to find a cure for cancer.

The Singapore Cancer Registry Interim Annual Report reported that between the year 2010 to 2014, a total number of 61,519 of the resident population, 48.4% males & 51.6% females, were diagnosed with cancer during this period. The statistics are alarming as cancer incedences continue to increase 5% on average, year-on-year.

With the number of residents affected with cancer rising every year, each and everyone of your support is vital to the cause. We hope to garner participation of the community by highlighting the importance of living a healthy lifestyle to prevent getting cancer later on in life and promote cancer awareness and encourage adoption of preventative habits to deal with this aspect of health.

About the Charity

Established in 2005, the NCC Research Fund supports innovative research to find the breakthroughs that will change how we understand, diagnose, treat and ultimately cure cancer. With cancer research and care under one roof at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, the knowledge gained from patient-centric research fuels advancement in clinical care, which in turn provides knowledge that drives research. We firmly believe that today's research will pave the way for tomorrow's cure for cancer. Please note that in the event that the donations made for a specific purpose/project: (i) Are less than the minimum $10,000 to support an existing project OR (ii) Has no new applicable project after a 2-year waiting period, the NCC Research Fund Board of Trustees reserves the right to channel these donations to the Fund's general pool in support of other worthy research projects.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
