About Us

The National Arthritis Foundation (NAF) was set up in 1984 as a charitable body and conferred the status of an Institute of Public Character (IPC) in 1985. It is the main public organisation in Singapore devoted to helping Arthritis sufferers, educating patients and the public on Arthritis, and supporting Arthritis research.

Our Programmes

a. Through the Patient Support Fund, NAF subsidises the medical cost of financially needy Singaporeans who are stricken with Arthritis to enable them to obtain the necessary medication to better manage their disease, and to enhance their employment prospects and allow them to be gainfully employed.

The Patient Support Fund covers the folllowing :
1) Subsidy for Biologics Treatment
2) Subsidy for Transportation Arrangements
3) Subsidy for Medical Aids/Equipment

b. The NAF CapitaLand Hope Foundation Fund supports Juvenile Arthritis. From subsidising treatment costs to organising activities and educational programmes, NAF helps children suffering from arthritis improve their quality of life to better enjoy their childhood years.

c. NAF also provides Public and Patient Education programmes to combat Arthritis, and supports Arthritis research.
NAF believes in empowering individuals to lead healthy and productive lives. For this reason, NAF conducts smpowerment and engagement programmes such as exercise classes and educational talks for arthritis sufferers or those who wish to better manage joint pains.

Our Wish List

We hold educational events, talks, and even activities like yoga to engage our NAF members. If you'd like to open up your venue to us to hold our activities (and if you've an interesting event idea for us), do let us know! As a charity organisation, we depend on the kind acts of many so that we can continue helping those we support.
