About Campaign

Taking a few steps up the stairs may seem easy for most of us, but not for 65-year-old Madam Nor Jenah Kurdi. Losing her leg muscles, she has fallen down many times at her home and when travelling to and from the dialysis centre. When she reaches her home, she is very weak and tired and even the few steps up the entrance of her home appears like a mountain to climb. Placing a movable ramp is costly, which she simply cannot afford. She has no choice but to rely on her helper to lift her up and bring her into her home.

Madam Nor is not alone. 86% of today's NKF patients are 51 years old and above and 40% require mobility assistance such as those who a wheelchair-bound and amputees. It is a daily challenge for them moving about in their homes as ramps at the entrance, toilet and even the slightest step between rooms have not been installed.

With your support, we are able to make the living conditions of these needy and physically-challenged patients easier, better and safer through our basic home improvement programme, 'Rebuild Lives!'

Please help as much as you can.
