About Campaign

"It takes about three hours to travel both ways from Johor Bahru to Singapore thrice weekly for my dialysis treatment. It's a long and tiring trip but it's worth it as I can continue living with my family in Johor Bahru as I don't want to miss any important milestones in my children's lives.

Since early 2020, I had to stay at my mother's house in Singapore for dialysis treatment after the Singapore-Malaysia land border closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Working as a cleaner in a clinic helped me to cover my living expenses here. Still, I miss my husband and children dearly and I hope to reunite with them very soon. Now that the border restrictions have been lifted, I am so happy to be able to travel back to Malaysia and spend quality time with them. "

Your support and benevolence not only enable us to help many more patients like Angelina with financial, psychosocial and emotional support through our holistic rehabilitation programme, but also make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families. We believe that with kind support from you and the community, we will be able to continue providing affordable, sustainable and quality care for our patients and make dialysis treatment available to every needy kidney failure patient who turns to us for help.

Happy Vesak Day to all those celebrating this special occasion!

About the Charity

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is currently supporting more than 5,000 kidney failure patients, about two-thirds of the national kidney failure patient population. Our patients are of the lower income group. Treating a patient costs over $2,000 a month, however, the treatment our patients receive is highly subsidised, with 74% paying $50 or less a month out-of-pocket.

NKF remains committed to journeying with our patients every step of the way in their treatment and rehabilitative care, advocating kidney health to prevent kidney failure and making a difference in the renal landscape to benefit the community.

Partner us in giving Life & Hope to our patients now!

All donations received through Giving.sg will be channelled to NKF General Fund, which will be used to provide subsidised dialysis treatment and holistic care for our patients.
