Without the ambulance service, it will be impossible for Mr Khoo Tong Seng to travel to the dialysis centre for his thrice-weekly treatment. He lost his leg to diabetes 14 years ago. A toe amputation quickly spiraled to a below-knee amputation. Kidney failure soon found him 3 years later.
Due to other health implications, Tong Seng totally lost his ability to travel out of his house even with the help of clutches and his prosthetic leg. He used to enjoy brisk walking, clocking up to 5km each day. Now, he can only depend on a wheelchair to move around.

Close to 40% of our patients require mobility assistance in order to continue their dialysis treatments.

Help patients like Tong Seng with their transportation subsidies

"Even a short walk is a challenge to me now. There is no way I can get to the dialysis centre without the ambulance service."
