Your kind gift will help ensure the smooth running and operations of our 37 dialysis centres island-wide to ensure the safety and well-being of over 3,800 haemodialysis patients and caregivers affected by the heightened precautionary measures to manage the spread of COVID-19. This is especially crucial as many of our patients have co-morbidities and an increased risk for infection due to their weak immune systems.

With the current evolving situation of COVID-19, we have enhanced our precautionary measures to avoid cross contamination by putting in place protocols and procedures to safeguard our patients' well-being. These include specific temperature screening times, disinfecting medical equipment such as dialysis machines and dialysis chairs, wearing of masks at all times and placing additional hand sanitisers within and at the entrances of all our dialysis centres to prevent the spread of infections. These precautionary measures are vital for our patients as the health and well-being of them are our utmost priority during this critical period and we are doing all we can to protect them.

Let's all stay vigilant, adopt good personal hygiene practices and play our part in being socially responsible.

About the Charity

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is supporting more than 4,800 kidney failure patients, which makes up about two-thirds of the total patient population. Our patients are of the lower-income group. Treating a patient costs over $2,000 a month, however, the treatment our patients receive is highly subsidised, with more than 50% paying $0 a month out-of-pocket.

We are currently supporting over 3,800 patients on haemodialysis (HD) at our 38 dialysis centres island-wide with more new centres in the pipeline in regions where there is a demand for dialysis. 99% of our new patients have medical co-morbidities, while 40% of our patients require mobility assistance.

NKF remains deeply committed to journeying with kidney failure patients every step of the way in their treatment and rehabilitative care, advocating kidney health to prevent kidney failure and making a difference in the renal landscape to benefit the community.

Your donation will go a long way towards providing subsidised dialysis treatment and care for our patients.

Thank you for giving Life & Hope to our patients!
