Pop A Smile - by Naufal Hakim Bin Ridzuwan & Muhammad Zikry Bin Suleiman

The human teeth go through a lot throughout the day. Without proper oral care daily, plaque and bacteria will grow, causing gum disease which leads to cavities and eventually loss of teeth. Teeth could relate to appearances, the way the subject shows their faces to the world or present themselves to it. Our tooth stool design was inspired by the pop art movement and promotes the importance of oral care. Pop art expresses certain feelings, emotions, and attitudes. With this tooth stool design, we hope to bring smiles to everyone.

Marrying art and oral health, the Charity Tooth Stools project aims to raise awareness of the importance of oral health in Singapore. To bring this project to life, 25 NYP students applied their artistic flair to uniquely design and paint 13 fibreglass stools. Shaped in the form of a tooth, these stools can be functionally used in offices, clinics or homes, or aesthetically displayed as decorative art pieces.

Make a gift today in support of the students' work and get a beautiful stool of your choice. Each stool will go to the highest donor as a token of appreciation if it raises $4,000 or more.

All proceeds for this project go to the NDCS Tooth Fairy Fund, which supports needy patients who require dental treatment, and oral health research and education efforts.
