About Campaign

Dear Metta supporter and friend of people with disabilities,
The national Circuit Breaker of 2020 was a nightmare moment to many caregivers of family members with intellectual disability.

Pre-COVID-19 days, people with intellectual disabilities would spend their afternoons at the DAC to learn basic functioning self-help skills such as:

- feeding themselves
- toileting and hygiene skills
- basic self-grooming, and more

The temporal closure of DACs had some of our clients regressed back to their old ways. As we gradually eased up our restrictions in 2021, our clients have resumed their DAC training, much to the delight of their caregivers.

Metta Welfare Association, which often holds fundraising events to raise funds for

- its clients' training and
- various welfare programmes services...

...have met with restrictions to its physical fundraisers.

Hence, we are seeking your help to raise funds for the continuous welfare and operations to serve the less fortunate in our society. Funds raised will go into supporting Metta's ten centres island-wide of which includes our disability care, medical care, children care, special education for youths and training for youths with special needs.

With every $10 donation, you can help provide necessary training for our adult clients with intellectual disabilities so that with their basic skills learnt, they could help to alleviate the worries of their families and loved ones.

Your donation will also be 250% tax-deductible.
