About Campaign

Did you know an estimated 1 in 150 children in Singapore has autism? (HealthXchang.sg, 2017) Children who are diagnosed with the lifelong neuro-developmental condition, Autism Spectrum Disorder, may have difficulties with social interaction and communication and face delays in social or language developmental milestones

This means that they may struggle with expressing themselves and being understood clearly, a social ability that you and I may take for granted.

It is not uncommon for people or parents to feel a sense of hopelessness upon hearing that their young toddler is diagnosed with autism.

While the condition is lifelong, access to early intervention will give these children with autism the best possible chance of developing to their fullest potential.

The sooner the child receives help, the greater the chances for learning and progress.

With early intervention and with parental collaboration, we have seen our children with mild autism blossom in tremendous progress that they are able to attend mainstream primary schools.

At Metta Preschool, we work with 100 over children with ASD weekly, including Wan Leng's children, Hayden and Izabel. When we work towards giving these children the best chance in life, we guide not only the children out of the dark, but everyone else who cares for them too - their caregivers, their parents and their family.

Your contribution will help us make a world of difference for children with ASD and their families.
