Mdm Tan Sai Tin was over 80 years old when she passed. While she was single, she had family who loved her. At her last home in MWS Bethany Nursing Home - Choa Chu Kang, she had a dedicated palliative care team who not only met her medical and nursing needs but also provided emotional and spiritual comfort.

"As an Asian family, we aren't used to expressing our love for our aunt," said Mdm Tan's niece, Wei Leng. "The bedside closure brought a sense of completion to her final journey... it was really, really special to us."

In providing professional care for our beneficiaries, we are constantly challenged by the deeper and more emotional aspects of our work.

Palliative care is one of the services offered through MWS' home hospice and nursing homes. Our healthcare staff and chaplains work together to care for our beneficiaries' total well-being including their emotional and psychosocial needs.

This same commitment is given to the families facing complex and multiple challenges, at-risk girls who struggle to get back on track, seniors who are isolated, and people who long to get out of debt and build a future for their children.

In the midst of COVID-19, your financial support is more critical than ever. Thank you for enabling MWS to give care beyond the ordinary!
