Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School (Secondary)

Other donations received: $16,200 (as at 26 Feb 21)

We are grateful that God has always provided for PLMGS(Sec) abundantly in our history of 105 years. We are looking forward to experiencing His amazing grace again this year, especially through Methodist Walk 2021 that will be conducted virtually.

We have launched Methodist Walk 2021 in our school on 1 Feb 2021. Our target is to have staff and PL-Lites raise $60,000 and to walk a total distance of 2,200 km collectively over the next 2 months. We will be using the funds raised for the benefit of our PL-Lites.

The following 2 projects have been identified:
(a) Green-turfing high human traffic areas within the school for the safety of our girls.
(b) Renovating our outdoor basketball court to include a non-slip surface and proper netting cover so that it will be conducive for PL-Lites exercising there.

While we believe that fund-raising targets are important, we hope that Methodist Walk 2021 will bring the school population together in a special way. The involvement of stakeholders such as family and friends serve as an important reminder that we are inter-dependent on each other in this journey of educating our girls.

We invite you to support us and partner us closely as we seek to build a stronger sense of belonging to the school and to the Methodist community.

Thank you for your love and support,
Mrs Quek Li Gek
Principal, PLMGS(Sec)
