About Us

The Methodist Schools' Foundation is an institution of public character established in 1997 with the following objectives:

- Construct, maintain and improve the school buildings and facilities of the Methodist schools in Singapore
- Purchase educational equipment, teaching aids for the Methodist schools in Singapore
- Provide financial assistance and bursaries to needy students

The Methodist Schools in Singapore and their needy students are the beneficiaries of the Foundation's programmes and fundraising activities. The Foundation is governed by a 11-person Board of Trustees, which is assisted by an Investment Committee.

Our Programmes

GRANT DISBURSEMENT:
The MSF disburses funds to students in financial need via the Chen Su Lan Financial Assistance Endowment Fund, and to school building and upgrading needs via the MSF Annual Grant. In addition, the annual MSF Good Steward Awards recognises students who have exhibited good stewardship of their gifts and abilities, especially in the face of challenges and obstacles.

FUNDRAISING:
The MethodistWalk is organised every two years to raise funds for the schools with the help of the larger Methodist family. The funds raised are channelled back directly to the schools. The last Walk in 2019 raised close to $1.4 million; the next Walk will be held in March 2021.
Due to safe-distancing regulations amid the ongoing pandemic, fundraising for MethodistWalk 2021 will be conducted in a different format. MSF will be setting up a campaign page for each school on giving.sg and every student will receive the unique link to their school's fundraising page
The general fundraising events have varied widely over the years including gala and themed dinners, performances, donation envelope runs and even a charity swim.
