Bangladesh Refugee Crisis Relief 2017

About Campaignends 31 Oct 2017, 11:59 PM
The humanitarian crisis in Rakhine State, Myanmar, has seen over 500,000 people flee across the border into neighboring Bangladesh. Here they face over-populated living conditions, and a severe shortage of food, shelter and water. Majority of those displaced are women, children and the elderly.
Mercy Relief is committed to supporting the ongoing relief efforts on the ground and will be deploying a team to Bangladesh to distribute critical supplies. With a focus on reaching out to vulnerable groups, relief items will include dignity kits to meet women's hygiene needs, shelter kits and solar lamps.
Stories from the Ground*:
Photographed are two sisters, Amena and Ambia. With their families they walked for 7 days to reach the campsites in Bangladesh in need of food, water and shelter. Unfortunately Ambia lost her husband and son while fleeing across the border.
Our hearts go out to family members like Amena and Ambia and we are committed to supporting them.
