Through the 20th Anniversary Impact Fund, Mercy Relief aims to strengthen its capacity to respond quickly and effectively to disasters. This includes having resources readily available to provide immediate relief aid to affected communities. The fund ensures that Mercy Relief can mobilize its teams and resources promptly, minimising the response time and helping those in need more efficiently.

In addition to immediate relief efforts, the fund also focuses on long-term sustainability and preparedness. This involves supporting outreach campaigns to raise awareness about disaster preparedness and resilience in communities at risk. The fund may also be utilised to organise fundraising events, which generate financial resources to improve infrastructure, training, and community programs aimed at better disaster response and recovery.

Established in 2003, Mercy Relief turns 20 this year having undertaken 92 humanitarian relief projects spanning 27 countries, impacted more than 2.7 million lives, undertaken 76 post-disaster projects, disbursed $47 million dollars in funds in emergency relief in the last two decades.
