About Campaign

Vietnam & Philippines have been experiencing heavy downpours since October, due to the monsoon season. In Vietnam, 275 people have reportedly been killed, 65 missing and approximately 380,000 homes inundated with more than 1.5 million people in urgent need of clean water, food, medical care and shelter. The world's strongest typhoon of 2020, Typhoon Goni made landfall in the Philippines on 1st November, causing catastrophic destruction and damage in its path, killing at least 46 people and displacing over 408,000 people.

Together with a local NGO, Mercy Relief will be conducting emergency relief distributions to the affected communities in Vietnam & Philippines and we call for an urgent appeal for donations to reach our initial crowdfunding goal of $50,000 to bring the much-needed aid to the affected communities.

*Please note that all donations for foreign charitable causes are NOT eligible for tax-deduction.

Donations are received with the understanding that Mercy Relief has discretion over the use of the donated funds. Every effort will be made to use your donation in accordance with your indicated intention. However, donations to programmes that oversubscribed or had been substantially completed, may be re-directed to those that have similar intent, including the general fund which administers these projects centrally and with within the objects of our charity.
