About Campaign

The global crisis caused by the COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted livelihood, businesses and community forcing the world into reset mode. Navigating through the complexities and sheer scales of the unknowns in this pandemic situation provides an unprecedented opportunity to reassess business as usual and adapt to a new normal.

Being one of the Social Service Agencies that depend largely from donations and sponsorship, 4PM is also hit significantly by the crisis. Annually 4PM would require about $1.5 million in order to sustain our services and programme and to cover operating budget deficits.

The sum we needs is usually raised across several fundraising events spread throughout the year that include Flag Day, Friday Mosque Collection, Street Collection and Food Charity Drive. However, due to restrictions on social gatherings and other regulations such as safe distancing such events have been severely scaled back or cancelled. There are still hurdles ahead in thinking anew about how to raise money and get our services going.

We therefore appeal to you to help us by making an outright donation to support our causes. We would be most grateful for your kind gesture, irrespective of the amount. Your contribution makes it possible for us to sustain our programmes and services for those whom we serve.

All donations will be entitled to tax relief as we are an Institute of Public Character.

About the Charity

In 1948, the Persatuan Persuratan Pemuda Pemudi Melayu (abbreviated as 4PM) or Malay Youth Literary Association was established with a core mission to maximise youth potential for the benefit of the community.

From its humble beginnings as a small group of passionate individuals providing educational support by offering tuitions to children and cultural activities for youths in kampungs, 4PM has transformed into an organisation that focuses on uplifting the educational status of the community and investing in the young- moulding and shaping the lives of youth as well as supporting the community's social and welfare needs.

Since its inception, 4PM stays true to its mission, "Unite & Serve", rallying individuals in a spirit of cooperation, united with a common purpose for the betterment of the community.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
