One such wish child was Violette. At just 2 years-old, she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that affects one's nerve tissues. It was an incredibly difficult time for her and her family as everything was turned upside down.
During Violette's time in the hospital, she was introduced to the Disney channel on TV and she fell in love with the Disney princesses - especially Princess Sofia! So it was no surprise that Violette's wish was to meet Princess Sofia.
This trip was a life-changing one for her and her family. Throughout, she exhibited her new-found bravery, stamina, and zest for life. We are also happy that she is also in her 2.5 years of remission.
When a wish is granted, it renews the energy of the child and their family with positivity and optimism for the future. The power of a wish goes beyond their wish day and it will live with them for a long time.
The past Santa Run for Wishes has brought hope, strength, and joy to more than 480 wish children and also positively impacted 1920 wish family members.
Make-A-Wish Foundation Singapore grants the wishes of children between the ages of 3-18 years with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
