About Campaign

ends 24 Oct 2020, 11:59 PM
We were classified as providing an essential service by the Ministry of Trade & Industry during the circuit breaker and worked harder than ever to ensure that our access to justice programmes run seamlessly despite the COVID 19 situation. We successfully moved our legal clinics and legal aid application processes online with significant effort and continue to conduct pro bono criminal defence in Court.

We even surpassed our previous performance by hosting 11 law awareness webinars between 23 March 2020 to 28 May 2020 with a total outreach of 2153 as compared to 866 over the same period last year. We are addressing new access to justice gaps by creating timely webinar content for individuals and organisations significantly impacted by COVID 19. Please refer to our YouTube Channel using URL ProBonoServices for some of our webinars.

We are striving to serve the needy and vulnerable in the midst of a pandemic. But we cannot do it without you. The services described above required the purchasing of additional IT hardware and software and are provided at a time when we experienced a 40 per cent reduction in donations. Your generosity will be matched dollar for dollar 40 per cent and 60 per cent by the Tote Board and the Government respectively and will go towards our existing programmes and funding additional initiatives that support those significantly affected by COVID 19, including members of the public, migrant workers, charities and freelancers.

About the Charity

The law is a mystery for many. And intimidating. Especially if you can't afford legal advice.

Our lawyers give generously and selflessly of their time and expertise for the needy in our community - to help those who can't help themselves. Our lawyers also do pro bono work for nonprofit organisations, helping them to help others.

We are a Singapore registered Charity (UEN: 201700430E) and Institution of a Public Character, established to support our lawyers in the noble cause of serving the vulnerable and the marginalised with access to justice.
