About Campaign

ends 30 Jun 2023, 11:59 PM
As Mother's Day approaches, we are reminded of the tremendous contributions our parents have made to our lives and communities. On this joyous occasion, we also commemorate parenthood and honour the undivided love that our parents, including our grandparents, have for us. KWSH's elderly residents, who too are parents or grandparents, deserve our unconditional affections and care in their advanced age.
Join us in honouring our parents and grandparents, and make a positive impact to the lives of our beneficiaries and elderly residents who need holistic long-term care and support.

We appeal for your generous help and support! Your gift will put a smile on the elderly's faces and allow them to lead fulfilling lives.
All monetary donations are entitled to 2.5 times tax deduction.

About the Charity

Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH) is a 113-year-old charitable healthcare organisation and is registered as an Institution of a Public Character, committed to looking after the sick and needy. KWSH currently operates two nursing homes, two rehabilitation centres, two TCM centres, four community care centres and offers home care services. KWSH's main site also serves as a community hub offering a comprehensive range of healthcare and eldercare services.

KWSH has continuously expanded our services to serve the needy elderly in the community since we first opened in 1910. KWSH's second nursing home at Potong Pasir has opened its doors in April 2022 and we now operate close to 1,200 nursing home beds in total, making us one of the biggest nursing home operators in Singapore. KWSH's services have also been extended to a network of six different locations in the Central Singapore region as it supports the region with a Regional Community Healthcare System.

The growing number of beneficiaries and expanding services are expected to bring the hospital's total operating expenses to $76 million this year. Despite the increasing operating costs, KWSH continues to charge nominal fees and provide subsidies on hospital charges through its charity funds as majority of our beneficiaries are from lower-income families. KWSH depends heavily on the public's support and donations to sustain the daily operations of the Hospital.
