Kampong Kapor Community Services hopes to promote and improve the well-being of individuals at every stage of life and develop, and be a part of, a community that cares and supports its members. Over the years, KKCS has developed a team of staff with which our practice resonates with the community needs and characteristics. While we have a team of professional social work practitioners to deliver a comprehensive range of community-based social services, we encourage members of the community to partner us in strengthening our families and building our community.

We service a geographical area mainly covering 2 key estates: Jalan Besar and Kampong Glam. Nearly 16,000 units of 1 to 5 room HDB flats occupy these 2 areas and about 4000 of them are 1 and 2 room flats. The precinct is rather unique as it is not only home to many races, but also different nationalities and a large proportion of residents are 60 years old.

Our team of social work practitioners help individuals and families with their concerns using a systemic approach that enhances the person, enriches their family relationship and embraces the support from the community.

Through different programs and platforms we serves to outreach to residents and community partners to encourage constant dialogue, link resources, raise awareness and ownership so that we can all be part of a community that cares and supports each another.
