About Campaign

Can you visualise what you can do with $150? You could pay for a meal for two in a restaurant or buy a fortnight worth of household items and groceries. Yet to some individuals in our society, $150 is what is needed to keep them alive.

Dialysis costs about $150 per session, and for patients with kidney failure this is a cost that they need to bear for a lifetime. A normal dialysis patient needs 12 to 14 sessions of dialysis each month. This could easily add up to over $2,000 monthly; how many of us can really afford that?

Fortunately, for the patients of the Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF), a group of big hearted cyclists are embarking on a 1,000KM endurance charity ride to raise funds for them.

This group of Epic cyclists aim to raise $350,000 in aid of low-income kidney patients at KDF, to cover a portion of their dialysis and medication fees, as well as transport subsidies for patients with mobility issues.

Support our big hearted cyclists who are participating in the KDF Millennium Ride today. All donations are entitled to 2.5x tax deduction.

Proceeds from this event, less event expenses, will go into the Patient Welfare and Support Fund, a restricted fund which can solely be used on patient related costs only. For more information regarding the event or your donation, please contact us.

About the Charity

The Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) is an independent non-profit organisation which provides subsidised dialysis treatment to needy members of the community.

We support those whose income falls into the lowest 10% income bracket in Singapore, ensuring that this vulnerable group of patients will not be deprived of treatment as a result of their financial situation.

We currently run four haemodialysis centres at Admiralty Link, Bishan, Chinatown and Ghim Moh, serving about 340 patients annually. At least $4 million is needed yearly to continue KDF's life-saving mission.

All donations to KDF will be eligible for tax deduction as we are a IPC registered charity.

*Impact statements listed above are for illustrative purposes only. All donations received through this page will be channelled into the KDF general fund, which covers patients' dialysis treatment, public education, research and other operating expenses.
