About Campaign

ITE is making an urgent call for donations to help provide more bursaries and financial assistance to our needy students in the months ahead. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many households, with low-income ones being most vulnerable. One in 2 ITE students live in households with per capita income not exceeding $690 - well below the national average of $2900. These students, especially in large households, get little or no support from their families for daily needs. Many support themselves by working part-time. The curtailing of many services due to COVID-19 measures has resulted in loss of income for these youths and their families. Unfortunately, this situation will continue.

We want to help many more deserving students with financial assistance during this period and we need your help! Your gift, large or small, will help lessen the financial burden for these students and allow them to focus on their studies without having to worry about daily expenses and meals. Your support will go a long way in helping our students tide through this difficult period. All cash donations will be matched $1 for $1 by the Singapore Government and eligible donors will receive tax deduction at 2.5 times the donated sum.

About the Charity

ITE has an enrolment of 28,000 students and we take pride in equipping them for good jobs and career advancement, as well as opportunities for further education and training. More than half of our student population come from very low-income families and they need financial support for daily schooling expenses including transport and meals. Often, these students undertake long hours of part-time work to make ends meet and this adversely affects their studies.

Singapore strives to be an inclusive society and we need to lend a helping hand to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, level up their playing field, and enable them to obtain a good education and achieve social mobility to realize their potential and aspirations. Your gift will go towards awarding bursaries to the most deserving students.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
