What is it like to learn that your parent is in prison? Or worse, watching them arrested in front of your own eyes?

When an individual goes to prison, little has been said about how the children can be at the extreme losing end. The children often grappled with the silent sadness, crippling anxiety and loneliness going through such a traumatic experience. Forced to carry on with daily lives without the person whom they love the most, some may even choose to hide away from their peers and community to avoid the social stigma and feelings of shame.

There is also the real risk of intergenerational offending - studies have shown that the children are 2.4 times more susceptible to following their parents' missteps. In Singapore, one in every five children of drug-offending parents have been reported to fall into the vicious cycle of offending.

Yet, we choose to see the children beyond their circumstances. We believe in empowering every one of them through proactive interventions so that they have the equal opportunity to be the best version of themselves.

PLEASE JOIN US IN EMPOWERING THE CHILDREN! Your donation can be the great enabler in rebuilding their lives and instill a sense of hope for their future. New lives, new futures!
