About Campaign

Uncle Ang*, our HCA Day Hospice patient, spends his day participating in activities with other elderly patients, who like him, are suffering from cancer or some form of life-limiting illness. While he likes it there, there are some days where he'll just sit moodily in a corner.

"It would be nicer, if they could let me choose what activity I want to do, or let me bring my grandchildren to accompany me," he says.

At HCA's third and upcoming Day Hospice, [email protected], all of this will become a reality. Patients will get to choose from three activities daily (active, relax or learn) and there would be a dedicated area for them to spend time with family members who decide to pop by.

It will also be the first Day Hospice in Singapore to cater to paediatric patients and their caregivers. Other features of this ground breaking care model include: a cafe, bar, conservatory, spa and barber services, movie theatre and even basic dental services.

While all patients who come to our Day Hospice have a life-limiting illness and many are on the last stretch of their lives, at HCA, we believe that everyone deserves to live life to the fullest until the very end. As such, we have built in this vision for our patients. In addition, all our services are provided at no charge.

Help us sustain our operations and add LIFE to days by making a donation today. #SGCares #GivingWeekSG #CityOfGood

About the Charity

HCA Hospice Care (HCA) is Singapore's largest home hospice provider and has been a registered charity since 1989. The organisation provides comfort and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, nationality and financial status.

We understand the medical and psychological needs of patients, caregivers and their families. By managing our patients pain and other symptoms with specialised care and support, we enable them to spend their last days at home, in comfort and dignity, with their families and loved ones.

Additionally, we care for the caregivers by providing them with psychosocial support, practical training, and advice at all hours with our 24/7 hotline.

As all our services including home hospice service for adults are provided free-of-charge to all patients under our care, we rely on donations to support what we believe is a basic right: to die with dignity.

With your contribution and commitment to helping us, we are confident of achieving our goal to adding life to the days of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
