About Campaign

ends 31 Oct 2023, 11:59 PM
"Dare to Dream" aims to empower persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) and their families by providing essential healthcare services for them. We currently support over 200 families and 400 caregivers, offering holistic health and psychosocial resources to improve their well-being. With the immense needs on the ground and the increasing population of ageing caregivers and ageing PWIDs, this number will only grow.

Our unwavering commitment is to serve as their healthcare provider, ensuring their well-being even when their dedicated caregivers face challenges or are no longer around. We journey alongside individuals promoting their autonomy, and upholding caregivers' hopes and dreams. Through this fundraising campaign, we aim to raise $250,000 to continue serving this vulnerable group in the community. Tote Board will be matching every dollar donated. This means that the impact of your donation will be doubled!

Over the next 3 months, we have planned a series of engaging activities to raise funds and awareness. Starting with our health fair in August to promote health and well-being among the PWID community. In September, we will be inviting everyone to participate in our virtual race, ''Journey with IDHealth'' and wrapping up with a physical walk to foster unity and camaraderie. Sign up via the website https://web.42race.com/race-bundle/happeehearts2023 or QR code (image in gallery) and join us as we walk in solidarity with the families we serve!

About the Charity

Happee Hearts Movement was founded by Dr Chen Shiling to advocate for the healthcare needs of a very invisible and forgotten group of people amongst us - People with intellectual disability.

It is the first and only non profit organisation in Singapore that focuses on addressing the complex health needs of this vulnerable population and their ageing caregivers.

People with intellectual disability have poorer health and lower access to healthcare services compared to the general population. This is made even more challenging as they and their caregivers age.

Our goal is to reduce the barriers to positive health and well-being for this population by providing a health service that is accessible and appropriate for people with intellectual disability.

Our Vision:
A world where people with intellectual disability and their families can live with dignity.

Our Mission:
To provide healthcare with HEART for adults with intellectual disability - Holistic, Empowering, Accessible, Respectful and Timely
