Our Dear Donors,

This year, we are excited to organise our physical event_ HWA Flag Day 2023 on 29 Jul 2023, where our beneficiaries are finally able to hit the streets to meet you in person.

We are counting on you to bring hope and smiles to our beneficiaries by supporting our island wide* streets collection. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without the support of people like you. Your support will help us remarkably in our mission of serving persons with physical disabilities (PWDs) and the elderly.

HWA is committed to enhance the lives of persons with physical disabilities (PWDs) and reintegrate them into the mainstream society. Most of our much-needed services for rehabilitation, wheelchair accessible transport, home care services and social services are eligible for government subsidies. Despite receiving the government subsidies, financially needy members are unable to pay their share of the service cost. In these situations, HWA extends additional subsidies to these needy individuals, from funds raised so that they can continue with these essential services to improve their physical and psycho-social wellbeing. Your donations are pivotal in supporting the continuity of these much-needed services and helping these needy individuals in staying hopeful.

We look forward to your continuous support. Thank you for your donation and we appreciate your generosity.

About the Charity

For the past 50 years, HWA (formerly known as Handicaps Welfare Association) has been providing needed services to people with physical disabilities. To fund its services to the needy beneficiaries, HWA has to rely on the generosity of the public and organisations for financial support.

In recent years, HWA has expanded its services to meet the increasing and changing needs of people with disabilities and the rapidly aging population. The number of beneficiaries that HWA served is also growing and this means HWA has to increase its staff strength to meet the needs of the beneficiaries.

With the continuing community support, HWA will be empowered to continue its mission in serving people with disabilities and the elderly.

On behalf of our beneficiaries, thank you so much for your support!
