Helping people with physical disabilities - Flag Day 2017
About Campaignends 30 Sep 2017, 11:59 PM
The Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA) has been providing transport, rehabilitation, and home care services specially tailored to the needs of people with disabilities.
HWA has to seek public generosity to support its services to the needy community.
Our annual Flag Day 2017 hopes to raise fund for, and creates awareness on the needs of the people who are physical challenged.
On behalf of our beneficiaries, thank you so much for supporting our mission!
For the past 40 years, the Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA), a voluntary welfare organisation, has been providing much needed services to people with physical disabilities so as to facilitate their integration into mainstream society. Although HWA is a member of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS), it is not funded by the Community Chest and therefore has to raise its own funds to meet the cost of running all its programmes and services that benefit over 2,100 people with physical disabilities who are registered with the Association. It has become increasingly difficult to raise the money to run our programmes and services. We therefore have to rely on the generosity of corporations and members of the public for financial support.
