About Us

Geylang East Home For The Aged was founded in December 1978 as a charitable welfare organization to provide quality care for the elderly.

- IPC NO. 000389. An approved institution of public character IPC authorized to receive tax-deductible donations.
- It is a full member of National Council of Social Service since 1-10-1990
- The Management Committee consists of twelve Management Committee Members who are volunteers entrusted to administer the organization.

Our Programmes

Geylang East Home for the Aged provides the following services / programmes
1. Blk 97, Residential Care Service. A residential home to the needy elderly
2. Blk 96, Geylang East Senior Care Centre.
A place which provides integrated day care facilities in one convenient location.
(1) Maintenance Day Care provides social activities and meals for seniors while their caregivers are at work
(2) Day Rehabilitation Centre serves seniors who require rehabilitation services to improve muscle strength, balance, endurance and fine motor skills.
(3) Dementia Day Care provides structured group and individual activities for person diagnosed with mild and moderate dementia
3. Blk 98, Harmony Activity Centre.
It is a Seniors Activity Centre with the mission of aiming to integrate the lower income seniors living in the community into mainstream society, with the active participation of the wider community. Main operations include running of regular and ad hoc activities, monitoring of the at-risk elderly, provision of information, referral service and outreach. In addition, HAC renders other value-added services like casework, provision of breakfasts and monthly food ration, ad hoc housekeeping and maintenance, ad hoc escorting.

With the mission of establishing a local network of support and an active volunteer movement at the neighbourhood level to promote self-worth and sense of community belonging among residents.
