About Campaign

ends 31 Mar 2022, 11:59 PM
In December 2020, ACCA announced its commitments to delivering the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), being the first professional accountancy body to do so. These include offering access to quality finance and accountancy education that is free from artificial barriers, becoming Net Zero by 2030, and working in partnership to build an inclusive global profession that supports the development of ethical, sustainable, and successful businesses and economies. Professional accountants have a key role in helping businesses and organisations meet sustainability goals, including and the UN SDGs.

As part of its commitment to mitigate climate change, ACCA is supporting National Parks Board's (NParks) OneMillionTrees Movement through its registered charity, Garden City Fund's (GCF) Plant-A-Tree Programme.

This collaboration aims to bring ACCA's membership and student community, and the wider business community to play an active role in the greening of Singapore, in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030.

At the end of the campaign, ACCA will be organising a tree planting event, in collaboration with NParks.

About the Charity

Established by the National Parks Board (NParks) in 2002, Garden City Fund is managed independently as a charity, where 100% of donations raised go towards projects it supports. The charity hopes to cultivate a love for the environment, promote a sense of ownership, and encourage the community to play a part in preserving Singapore's legacy as a lush and vibrant City in Nature. Through partnerships with organisations and individuals, GCF provides a platform for the community to be involved and contribute towards conservation, research, outreach and education initiatives.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
