About Campaignends 23 Feb 2020, 11:59 PM
Under our Home Visitation program, the society visits at least six disabled Friends each month. Apart from providing staple food items for needy families, the visits enable members of the Society to get to know the disabled as well as their families better.
Our Skills Enrichment Program has likewise progressed over the years. It provides an avenue for the disabled Friends to equip themselves with skills in handicraft and jewelry-making
Many beneficiaries have benefited tremendously from our programs.
Hence, we need funds to sustain our programs.
We are having our Flag Day on 22 February 2020 to raise public awareness on the mission of our charity and at the same time raise funds to support our annual programs. We aim to reach out to more beneficiaries this year in need of our support to give hope and inspiration to them.
Our Collection Centres will be at:
Tampines Mrt Station
Bishan Mrt Station
Jurong East Mrt Station
Woodlands Mrt Station
We hope to get as much support as we possibly can from the public.
Your support can be:
- being our collectors at one of the collection centres
- donating to our charity to support our mission
Thank you for supporting our charity!
About the Charity
Friends of the Disabled Society (FDS) aims to meet the social needs of our physically challenged Friends by providing avenues for them to interact among themselves and with able-bodied persons. We serve and help those who are severely disabled Friends and homebound. Encourage independence among the disabled Friends by providing job opportunities to them by engaging them in our Skills & Entrepreneurship Training Programme.
