About Campaignends 26 Apr 2017, 11:59 PM
My name is Marinna, since my primary school days, i have been actively involved in sports, especially in running. I have been an avid runner for 7 years. While working for a charity in 2010, that is where it all started, i decided to dedicate my passion in running to help raise awareness and fundraise for my chosen charities . This round i have chosen Free Food for All Ltd or FFFA in short.
They are running a Halal Cooked Meal Delivery System at Boon Lay. Every weekday, more then 100 meals are provided to the less fortunate, which includes our pioneer generations living alone in rental flats, the disabled, non ambulant, and low income families who are in dire need of basic food support.
FFFA is a Registered Charity but are not funded by any Grants or supported by any other Organisations. Hence, they rely on the support from the Community at Large.
With your contribution, FFFA will be able to serve 100 meals a day for a month. These Halal Meals will be Home Delivered within the Boon Lay Estates and it will go towards those who needs it most.
I will be running 15 Laps (64.5 KM) on April 15th, Saturday, do support me to provide meals for the less privileged.
Ending Hunger, One Stride at a Time !
Free Food for All (FFFA) had given out close to 250,000 meals since its inception in early 2015. FFFA is meant for everyone and anyone who needs a meal. However, we provide special emphasis to the elderly, disabled and financially distressed. We hope that by fulfilling a basic human need for food, they will be empowered to take action and raise themselves out of poverty. We also believe that our project has the potential to foster a more gracious society and strengthen community spirit especially between neighbours. We are hopeful and optimistic that FFFA, with the gracious help of the community, can run entirely on contributions from members of the public.
