Feed the needy with a hot meal daily.

There are people among us who worry over their daily meals. Some might have lost the motor skills to cook, and others simply cannot afford a meal.

Food from the Heart's Project Belanja! is a cooked meal initiative that bridges these gaps by providing hot meals that can be redeemed with their beneficiary card at designated food stalls in their neighbourhoods.

Project Belanja! not only gives beneficiaries the dignity of choice, it also widens the variety of food they get to choose from as well as cuts out the need for delivery.

Patronising the hawker stalls helps beneficiaries create friendships in the neighbourhood while also boosting the hawkers sales as the meals are paid by you, the sponsors. As Food from the Heart is able to track the meal redemptions, it also allows for early intervention if a beneficiary stops redeeming meals.

About the Charity

Food from the Heart is a charity founded in February 2003 by Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer, who were inspired to channel surplus food from bakeries to families in need after they read an article about bread wastage.

Today, Food from the Heart is Singapore's foremost independent food charity with IPC status that makes a tangible and meaningful contribution to fighting hunger through bread rations and food packs. With the support of donors, food industry partners, and more than 10,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 59,500 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$7.22 million worth of food in 2021.

To alleviate hunger by providing reliable, consistent and sustainable food support to the less fortunate through food distribution programmes.
