2020 has been an unprecedented year for the world at large with the advent of the pandemic. Singapore has not been spared the negative impact as well. As a charity that provides food support, Food from the Heart (FFTH) has seen a substantial spike in the number of needy individuals and families asking for help since the pandemic. We expect more to seek help in 2021. During Circuit Breaker, operations were quickly adapted to the ever-evolving situation to ensure the needy continue to receive our monthly food packs.

From January to October 2020 with your help, Food from the Heart has packed 1,029,044 food items, distributed 79,581 food packs, provided 32,374 hot meals, saved and redistributed 165,095 kg of bread. As we close the year with the season of giving, help us ensure that all who come to us to put food on the table, get the help they need in the coming year. About the Charity

Food from the Heart is a charity founded in February 2003 by Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer, who were inspired to channel surplus food from bakeries to families in need after they read an article about bread wastage.

Today, Food from the Heart is Singapore's foremost independent food charity with IPC status that makes a tangible and meaningful contribution to fighting hunger through bread rations and food packs, and bringing joy through the distribution of toys and birthday celebrations. With the support of donors, food industry partners and more than 10,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 44,600 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$6.2 million worth of food in 2019.
