About Campaign

ends 31 Dec 2021, 11:59 PM
COVID-19 has been a trying time for families, especially our children's state of mental health. The rising suicides among those aged 10 to 19 confronts us with the urgent need to go upstream.

To strengthen families in the area of mental resilience, we have equipped over 2,700 parents and educators across 80 schools and organizations in our suicide prevention and mental health programmes and launched practical resources (www.family.org.sg/strongerwithfamily).

Our FamChamps movement also held its inaugural Be.Live Conference and Be.Live Base Camp for over 679 youth to inspire students to strengthen and reconnect with their families and engage in conversations around mental health.

Here are some impact stories from our youth:

"I remember feeling very tired, and I asked myself, how much longer can I go through this without my parents knowing? I felt they needed to know what I was going through in order for me to take the next steps in getting support for my mental health."

"I have gained new insights into the idea of family and the ability to look at situations from different points of view. I have learnt to recognize that there will be both negative and positive patterns in a family, and how accepting these patterns is the first step to becoming a champion for families."

Through your generosity and support, our work will go a long way to ensure that families remain as society's building blocks.
