About Campaign

Esplanade regularly organises art-based programmes for various Voluntary Welfare Organisations. For the Songwriting for Hope programme, we worked with Diamonds on the Street, a collective that co-creates music, stories and performances with communities and individuals. We ran a programme to provide young people with skills in song craft to turn their crises into hope.

"Many girls do not like to acknowledge their feelings but during this programme, they had to search within themselves to come up with the lyrics. There was this one girl who found out some bad personal news just days before the programme, and she couldn't sleep. When she presented her song, I was very touched as I could feel her emotions through the lyrics. I think the programme has touched the girls in a very special way. Not many of us have seen that side of them." - Programme Coordinator of residential youth home

With your contribution, we can continue to plant seeds of hope through programmes like these and make a difference in people's lives. Help us make a difference!
