Globally, the population of seniors has been projected to surge, increasing from 530.5 million in 2010 to 1.5 billion last year.
In 2014, 12.4 per cent of the population in Singapore was above 65 years of age and this is projected to increase to 19 per cent by 2030.
In Singapore, the number of elderly people living alone is likely to increase to 83,000 by 2030, up from 35,000 today.
'Give Me Five' fund raising campaign seeks to encourage, empower and increase senior citizens participation as volunteers amongst elderly people in Singapore. All the proceeds will goes into covering operation expenses which includes our daily activities such as elderly befriending services through running of structured and hobby interest programs that to seek to keep the elderly socially and physically engaged.
Together with us, let us bring a step closer towards truly achieving sustainable ageing in place for this vulnerable segment of our society!
Every Home A Happy Home is our Vision since 2013. We have presented community services programmes, using different approaches to support our needy individuals and families. Our scope of services include: Promoting Holistic Active Elderly Lifestyle Engaging After School Hours Student Programme Create Impacting Family Life Education Plan and Organise Multiple Community Services Projects
