About Campaign

ends 30 Jun 2018, 11:59 PM
The Independent Living and Training Centre (ILTC) aims to provide the appropriate training opportunities for young adults with Down syndrome to practise and apply life skills so that they can generalise these skills in their daily lives thereby promoting greater independence.

To make way for the ILTC, our existing premises at Telok Blangah Crescent will be repurposed. The facility and the training to be undertaken will better position our young adults with Down syndrome with the necessary life skills to live a more independent lifestyle.

We would like to appeal for your support and contribution to this ILTC project, so as to help these young adults with Down syndrome on their journey to independence.

About the Charity

Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) is a self-funded, non-profit Voluntary Welfare Organisation. We are dependent on donations from the corporate community and members of the public to help us continue to improve the lives of persons with Down syndrome. We provide a range of programmes for babies, children and adults with Down syndrome. These range from educational programmes that impart life-skills and independence training to young adults with Down syndrome, integration support programmes for children with Down syndrome studying in mainstream schools, enrichment programmes such as dance, speech & drama and sports programmes that aim to enhance and develop specific skills in the participants. We also conduct family support group programmes for parents (with babies, children and mature adults). We thank you for your support of DSA in our efforts to educate, train and assist people with Down syndrome to become independent and contributing citizens of Singapore. *All outright donations will be entitled to a tax deduction of 2.5 times the amount of donation. A Tax Deductible Receipt will be issued for donations above $50.
