We celebrate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on October 12, 2019. This is a day where we call for everyone to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care from all around the world. Let us join hands to applaud the work of medical and healthcare professionals and individuals who had made an impact to the lives of terminally-ill patients.

At Dover Park Hospice, a team of dedicated palliative doctors and nurses, medical social workers, therapists and pastoral counsellor offers round-the-clock care to alleviate the pain and symptoms of terminally-ill patients. Our clinical team, together with our volunteers, help them to live life to the fullest. Other than engaging patients through rehabilitative and therapy sessions, we also provide emotional and psycho-social support through 'Make It Happen!' project where the staff and volunteers would fulfil patient's last wishes such as re-connecting them with their long-lost loved ones, or bringing them to visit places of memories. These programmes reflect the importance of dignified and personalised care that every patient deserves.

Join us in in celebrating our silent heroes, as they journey along with patients and their family members in making every moment matter. Your donation will go towards supporting the efforts of providing holistic palliative care at Dover Park Hospice.

About the Charity

Dover Park Hospice was founded in 1992 as a secular, nonprofit organisation to meet the growing need in Singapore for hospice care for terminally-ill patients. It is Singapore's first purpose-built hospice, designed to provide a serene environment close to nature.

Open to everyone regardless of age, race, religion or income level, Dover Park Hospice is dedicated to meeting the unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those who are nearing the end of life's journey. The goal is to enhance the living, comfort the dying and support the grieving with compassion and dignity.

To cover its operating expenditure which is estimated at $18.3 million per year, Dover Park Hospice relies a lot on fundraising activities and kind donations from generous well-wishers and corporations.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
