About Campaign

ends 28 Feb 2017, 11:59 PM
The Diabetic Society of Singapore is organising an island-wise Flag Day to raise funds. Funds raised will be used to provide diabetes care for people with diabetes at our centres.

Subsidised care is given to patients under the Financial Assistance scheme. Diabetes can be controlled if well-managed, and we hope patients do not develop complications due to irregular checks and poor control because of financial difficulties.

Funds will also contribute towards the education of Diabetes to the public. With better knowledge and awareness, we hope Singaporeans can make positive changes to their lifestyle - which goes a long way in preventing Diabetes.

Your kind donation will contribute to the success of our fund-raising campaign and a healthier Singapore.

About the Charity

Diabetes Singapore is a charity with the status of Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs) affiliated to the International Diabetes Federation and the National Council of Social Service since 1971. Formerly known as the Diabetic Society of Singapore, the organisation provides health screenings, counselling and support to people with diabetes and their families as well as education to the wider community in order to empower Singaporeans to lead a healthy and productive life.

Diabetes Singapore is the only registered charity dedicated to diabetes management and education. It has provided more than 7,400 subsidised clinical services, including diabetes complications screenings to our beneficiaries and touched the lives of more than 9,000 people through outreach and programmes.

On 1st April, Diabetes Singapore has launched The Fighter's Walk. This is the first virtual walk for a good cause in which participants can walk anytime, anywhere to clock 100KM during a one-month challenge. We are seeking to raise 250,000 dollars to provide free screenings for 2000 needy and senior citizens living with diabetes. Join us in our fight against diabtes by signing up or donate on www.TheFightersWalk.org.
