"I only have $2. Should I use it to take the bus to work or give to my child for recess money?" This is a common dilemma among low-income mothers.

Monthly, about 40 low-income mothers undergo training or are newly bridged for employment by DOT. But they face every day, financial issues that might be about that last dollar in their pockets. Often these mothers are compelled to sacrifice going to work, in order to meet her children's needs. This may seem like a decision that makes no sense, but many a time, a mother's heart knows no logic when her child's well being is at stake.

YOU can make a difference for both a mom and her child by helping low-income mothers on their back-to-work journey and contribute meaningfully to society.
