About Campaignends 31 Dec 2018, 11:59 PM
We currently have around 350 volunteers for Cycling Without Age Singapore and piloting the 15 trishaw we have. However, this is just a small number compared to the 500,000 seniors in Singapore, 12,000 of which live in one-person households. We want to make sure we reach as many seniors as we can, and we need YOUR support in training more volunteers to join our movement. Look through our packages to see how you can support our CWA volunteers today!
About the Charity
Cycling Without Age (CWA): an international charitable organisation which started in Denmark and is now in 40 countries, gives free rides to seniors in specially-designed trishaws. In Singapore, volunteers, mostly young people, willingly give up their time to be "pilots", taking seniors for rides in parks and communities where they can connect with nature and their local history. So far, up to first quarter 2018, CWA has given rides to over 500 seniors. Cycling Without Age mobilises five core values: (Age is no barrier, Storytelling with social impact, Cycling in the slow lane, A generous community, Building on old and new relationships)While the ride is for free, CWA relies on the support of the wider community. We wish to expand our initiatives to reach even more seniors!
