Our Campaign Storyends 23 Jan 2016, 12 AM
The Community Relations and Engagement Division (CRED) of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) works with fellow Singaporeans, friends and partners to create a cohesive, caring and active community. Together with NVPC, we seek to promote volunteerism and charitable giving as a way of life.
As an eventful year draws to a close, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all for making SG50 a memorable and meaningful one, because of your kindness, generosity, and magnanimity. In keeping with our culture of giving, and in celebration of the launch of Giving.sg, CRED is leading this campaign to raise funds for our chosen charity, Sanctuary House, this year. (Note: Sanctuary House's assets will be transferred to Boys' Town in the coming weeks.)
Sanctuary House provides safe shelter for babies and young children. Its mission is to help children achieve safe, loving and stable care environments that will support their growth into healthy, caring and responsible members of the community.
Join us, and show your support today! :)
Boys' Town is a charity started in 1948 by the Brothers of St. Gabriel to provide and care for children and youth in need. We help boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 21 who come from disadvantaged and disengaged families, and may have faced hardship resulting from difficult living situations; financial struggles; chaotic home environment; abandonment and abuse. Through our services and programmes, we equip them with the skills they need to become responsible and contributing members of society. Each year, we reach out to over 300 children and youths and their families, of which about 90 boys are in our residential programme.
