About Campaign

Compassion Fund is a small charity that helps low-income families when tragedy strikes. We aim to respond quickly to help families through crisis upon losing a breadwinner. Counseling and financial support enables them to keep the family functioning and the children in school while they adapt to their new family situation. We keep our costs very low by trying to gain sponsorship for as many of our functioning needs as possible.

The work of Compassion Fund is going very well. As our reach increases, we are in the process of finding new ways to meet our budget. Apart from our ongoing campaigns that accept donations throughout the year, we now also run 2 events: a Charity Golf event, which just completed. And now our inaugural "Gala of Light" to be held on Oct 4th at Marina Bay Sands. We are hoping that individuals and corporates that might normally spend on entertainment at Deepavali may take up the gala option and spend it with us!

Gala of Light will be a dinner event featuring a fashion show by THE HOUSE OF ANITA DONGRE, followed by DJ SUKETU who will light up the dance floor, spinning his signature remixes of Bollywood hits. The proceeds of the evening will be equally shared by Compassion Fund and Beyond Social Services.

About the Charity

Since 2009, Compassion Fund Ltd has been providing immediate financial help to students from
low-income families facing the crisis of a recent death, an illness or accident of a family member,
resulting in loss of income. Our clients are usually referred to us through schools, hospitals and
community partners such as Family Service Centers. Timely assistance PREVENTS these
families from spiralling into poverty or developing other chronic family problems that may
negatively impact a child's schooling. Our outreach encompasses all racial and religious
communities within Singapore.
