The Singapore Green Plan 2030 charts ambitious and concrete targets to advance Singapore's national agenda on the green economy that includes developing green finance and services to facilitate Asia's transition to a low-carbon and sustainable future. Conservation International's expertise in the area of Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) will support this strategy through commitments to scientific research, carbon credits, and climate finance.

We work with Singapore universities to build capacity in NCS research, such as identifying and mapping regional high-carbon ecosystems. We also work with the public and private sectors to design local investment products that can support the growing demand for scalable commercial climate solutions and NCS carbon credits.

Donations received to this campaign will enable us to continue our work in ensuring that Singapore is at the forefront of financial and commercial progress toward addressing climate change. Through our extensive scientific research and world-leading expertise in NCS, we will provide opportunity, guidance, sustainable products, and partnerships with local governments and businesses. In addition, we will support job creation for technical carbon specialists, data analysts, and finance management.

Funds will support expertise to design sustainable climate finance solutions in Singapore to achieve climate goals, ensuring a vibrant and liveable home for future generations.

About the Charity

PEOPLE NEED NATURE TO THRIVE - Conservation International Singapore Conservation Trust (CSCT) envisions a vibrant, resilient, and sustainable Singapore for generations to come and aims to empower the community to care for and value nature's benefit to people.

CSCT's work focuses on environmental education, internships, youth and community engagement, conservation science and research. We partner with the private and civil sectors to encourage environmental responsibility and sustainability through innovative conservation solutions such as natural climate solutions.

Our Environmental Education Program takes the local to global approach, where youth learn about conservation science and sustainability in an urban environment while connecting with Singapore's natural heritage. The knowledge and skills imparted through school talks, outdoor education and mentorship programs, and fun virtual learning videos help shape behaviors and empower youths to consider their impact on the environment.

We work closely with local tertiary institutions to provide students with opportunities to take up paid internships or carry out field research and conservation activities with Conservation International offices across the Asia-Pacific region.

Conservation International Singapore Conservation Trust is an organization approved by the Commissioner of Charities bearing the Institution of Public Character (IPC) status.
