About Campaign
ends 31 Mar 2023, 11:59 PMIn 2023, C42 will be publishing ADN's first book, tentatively titled "(Asian) Dramaturgs' Network: Sensing, complexity, tracing and doing". This book gathers the histories, findings and futures of ADN, and also seeks to answer these two questions:
"Are there Asian or Asia-based dramaturgies of practice and performance? How does one write about these with contextually grounded frames and beyond Eurocentric paradigms? "
Comprising edited papers, essays, interviews, case studies and documentation, this book will provide answers and posit the future of dramaturgy in and for theatre in the region. It's possibly also the first of its kind on dramaturgy in this part of the world.
The editorial team consists Charlene Rajendran and Peter Eckersall as lead editors, and Anuradha Kapur, Chong Gua Khee, Daniel Teo, Dominic Nah, Nanako Nakajima and Ugoran Prasad.
If you're a performing arts dramaturg/practitioner/educator/student, this book will be a useful resource for you! Support this project & be one of the first to receive a copy of this book before public sales begin mid-2023!
About the Charity
Centre 42 is a small and nimble team committed to the creation, documentation and promotion of text-based works for the Singapore stage. Our mission is to:
+ nurture talent and incubate content of text-based works for the stage;
+ build public awareness and appreciation for Singapore theatre; and
+ be a focal point for research, documentation and critical discourse on the development of Singapore theatre.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE GROWING THE THEATRE SCENE.
Every contribution enables us to continue developing Singapore's theatre ecosystem through our myriad of programmes and initiatives that support independent artists and arts groups. As a direct grant recipient of the National Arts Council for FY2020-22, we are partially funded for our work. We still need to raise at least 45% of our annual operations costs in order to sustain year on year.
This year, our SMALL WAYS TO 42K fundraising campaign aims to raise $42,000 by March 2023. Here are three Small Ways you can journey with us to get there:
1. Be a Monthly Champ (Subscribe & donate via this page)
2. Back a C42 Project (Pick a campaign project & donate via that fundraiser page)
3. Support us through our Brand Partners (Check out our partners on C42's website)
