About Campaign

ends 31 Dec 2020, 11:59 PM
We're a motley crew of bikers who share a common love for theatre and riding, and our paths have crossed in many ways at Centre 42 - we've created a play, performed, watched, discussed and supported fellow artists in the blue house and definitely sought shelter for our bikes under its mango tree.

For the 1st time, 8 of us will be crusading together to raise awareness for an arts organisation that has supported independent theatre-makers like us, and that their important work can continue during and post the pandemic.

On 13-Dec (Sun) we will ride around SG covering interesting 'bikers' spots' and IG-worthy locations, while attempting to draw out the shape of C42's Cloud via GPS-mapping.

For every donation you pledge from now till the Ride day, you get to dedicate a task for us to complete during the event. Our challenge is to complete all that under 4.2 hours. Rain or Shine (pray for Shine, pls).

Follow our riding challenge as we 'report' live from designated pit stops and accomplish the surprise tasks you have in store for us.

The ride will be sweaty, tiring and probably peppered with U-turns, but we think it's safe to say it will be pumped with lots of swag (hey, we've got a whole bunch of actors and playwrights here) and never a dull moment.

Donate to help us achieve our $4,200 goal as we flex our muscles, rev those engines and hit the roads in this inaugural Theatre Bikers' Ride!

See you on the road,
Nessa, Brendon, Big, Bright, Pavan, Sham, Yu-Beng, Yanling

About the Charity

Centre 42 is a small and nimble team committed to the creation, documentation and promotion of text-based works for the Singapore stage. Our mission is to:
+ nurture talent and incubate content of text-based works for the stage;
+ build public awareness and appreciation for Singapore theatre; and
+ be a focal point for research, documentation and critical discourse on the development of Singapore theatre.

Every contribution enables us to continue developing Singapore's theatre ecosystem through our myriad of programmes and initiatives that support independent artists and arts groups. As a direct grant recipient of the National Arts Council for FY2020-22, we are partially funded for our work. We still need to raise at least 45% of our annual operations costs in order to sustain year on year.

This year, our SMALL WAYS TO 42K fundraising campaign aims to raise $42,000 by March 2023. Here are three Small Ways you can journey with us to get there:
1. Be a Monthly Champ (Subscribe & donate via this page)
2. Back a C42 Project (Pick a campaign project & donate via that fundraiser page)
3. Support us through our Brand Partners (Check out our partners on C42's website)

For more info on each of these Small Ways, visit www.centre42.sg/smallwaysto42k2022
