About Campaign
ends 15 Apr 2016, 11:59 PM21 were released to the Cat Welfare Society on March 16.
4 more released to us on March 24.
9 more on March 28.
We thank the people who already donated to cover their first week of veterinary expenses and care of over $6000. The $20,000 will go towards their continued veterinary expenses as well as the carers and shelters who have come forward to care for the cats from mid to long term even though they already have many cats under their care.
Devastating cases like these truly draw a community together. We thank the many people who have come forward for the Yishun hoarder cats - vets, transporters, boarders and fosterers. These kind folks have given huge huge concessions or personal contributions to help the cats. But remedying years of neglect does not come cheaply.
Sadly, this case has already seen 8 casualties, emaciated cats that did not pull through. 12 are still fighting for their lives.
You can make a difference to these lives who have known nothing but darkness and filth until now. Every cent counts.
About the Charity
Cat Welfare Society is a charity that advocates the harmonious co-existence of humans and cats. We are at the forefront of humane management of the community cat population and educating the importance of responsible cat ownership.
For years, we have campaigned against the destruction of cats by offering a more effective and long term solution - education and sterilisation. As a charity, we function as a network of three staff, ten board members, twenty core volunteers and countless dedicated caregivers, rescuers, fosters and rehomers who work towards the same goal.
We are heavily reliant on donations to continue our work. We are a registered charity with IPC status that is audited annually and we publish our financial reports on our website.
